Texas Two-Step Weather

kevinhallett6

Our weather has done another Texas two-step on us, dropping 20+ degrees overnight. Otherwise, things have been as quiet as world events have allowed them. My company has issued a general edict that everyone must be in the office 5 days a week beginning in March. Pre-pandemic, we used to go in once or twice a week as they didn't have office space for everyone. I'm curious to see how it all works out, though I agree with their position that technology is changing fast with the new AI capabilities, so people need to work side-

by-side to keep up.

BTW, I do not use AI in any part of my writing. Some authors use it to generate their advertising blogs, but I don't even use it that way. I like writing too much to give up my creativity to a computer program.

I realized that I hadn't finished my picture log of the puzzle. So, I've included the last picture for this week. My wife had broken up the completed puzzle before I could take a picture, so you'll have to take my word that we finished it. I enjoyed the puzzle as every piece had a unique shape.

I've begun revamping the third story, Rhubarb Queen, in my anthology of fourteen stories. The words, Dragon Reborn, inspired this one. The updated version will be written as a mystery, not as a whodunnit, but a why-did-they-do-it.

As I write this, I'm listening to Led Zeppelin's The Battle of Evermore. This song is one of the closest to being a fantasy story. For that reason alone, I would like it, but Led Zeppelin is also one of my all-time favorite groups. Try to find the song Who Knows Where the Time Goes. It was written and sung by the lady who sings duet on the Led Zepelin song. She was taken from us far too soon.
