Another milestone??

As usual, I'm writing this blog on the Sunday before I add it. However, today is my 72nd birthday! Today, I received some wonderful life-affirming texts thanking me for surviving this long. And my wife went with me to see the Nutcracker in Austin - my first ballet! Altogether, it was a memorable day.

The fourth book has been out for a fortnight, and the reaction has been encouraging. For this month, I'm on track to reach a quarter million page reads on Kindle Unlimited, which is an unexpected holiday gift.
I am making slow but steady progress on the audiobook for the first volume after getting my sound studio back. This week's picture is of my recording studio. As you can see, I'm using a state-of-the-art setup, otherwise known as a closet full of clothes, to dampen the reverberations. My daughter is coming down for the weekend after Christmas, so maybe we'll get back together in that sound studio - it'll be a tad cramped.
I am 80% through the initial in-depth review of the first book in the second series. Without a doubt, I'm psyched to get this novel revamped. If anything, I have to keep reminding myself to limit my time each day to just 3 hours, so I have time for other things like making an audiobook.
As I write this, I'm remembering hearing Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite." Now I can imagine the ballet dancers leaping or spinning when I hear this music.
